Melissa Buell

Teacher

Mrs. Melissa Buell was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated cum laude from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in English, specializing in Secondary Education. After subbing for grades K-12 for several years, she became a full-time English teacher. She holds a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English. The COVID-19 epidemic led her to homeschool her two teen sons. Homeschooling led her to The Arbor! Mrs. Buell is a published author of a young adult fantasy trilogy, a children’s book, and a Jane Austen inspired short story collection.

Mrs. Buell enjoys reading, writing, hiking and camping with her family, being a “Scout Mom”, baking, taking photographs, and building wooden projects that require her to use her power tools.
