Judy Zhao


Mrs. Zhao grew up in Beijing with a standard mandarin accent and has been a primary public school teacher for 10 years in China. She graduated from the Beijing Normal University as an educational psychology major.

When she moved to the U.S., Mrs. Zhao devoted all her time to her two children. After they started school, she began teaching again at Fullerton and Irvine Chinese school and tutoring students from home. Mrs. Zhao has also been attending the Chinese Teachers Association Seminar for years and updating the theories and methods to teach Chinese as a second language. In 2017, she received the Outstanding Senior Teacher Award from the Southern California Council of Chinese School. During that summer, she also participated in a teacher training program in China and obtained an international Chinese teacher certificate. Teaching Chinese is not only her job but also her passion and joy in life.

In her free time, Mrs. Zhao enjoys hiking and traveling to new places with her family and friends. She also loves cooking, gardening, and photography.
