  • DROP & CHANGE POLICIES
  • FALL SESSION CLASSES

From May through July 1st: schedule changes will not impact priority registration for the subsequent registration period.

After July 1st: Any family dropping a class, without registering for an equivalent number of replacement classes, will be permitted to continue in companion spring classes, but will forfeit priority registration for any new Spring 2023 classes during the Spring 2023 registration session. Families impacted by the revised drop policy will be welcome to register during New Family Registration.

The Arbor office and teaching staff spend significant time planning and implementing engaging, in-depth and unique classes for our community well in advance of the class start dates. The sustainability of the program as a whole is dependent on predictable registration levels. Decreases in class registration levels at the last minute create real costs for the organization and when fluctuations in enrollment are significant, they jeopardize the future size and scope of the program that can be offered. As such, we kindly ask families not to register for classes they do not intend to take and to make any changes to their Fall 2022 schedule by July 1, 2022. Should unavoidable changes be required after July 1, 2021, families are asked to consider making a voluntary donation of $75 per class to offset operational costs and help The Arbor to continue to provide customizable education for its community in the future.

  • SPRING SESSION CLASSES

From October through December 1st: schedule changes will not impact priority registration for the 2023-2024 year
After December 1st: Any family dropping a class, without registering for an equivalent number of replacement classes, will forfeit priority registration for the upcoming 2023-2024 registration session. Families impacted by the revised drop policy will be welcome to register during New Family Registration.

Class Changes & Refunds

Refunds will not be provided for months in which a student attends class.

*The Arbor's Drop, Change, and Refund Policies apply to ALL Arbor families. When paying with charter funds, if some or all of the fees are not paid for by the charter school for any reason, families are responsible for any remaining amount not paid for by their charter school.  Any family not in good financial standing will need office approval prior to registering for any upcoming session.

Cancellations

Small classes are subject to cancellation. If a class is cancelled, families will be notified 2-3 weeks before class begins. Paid class fees for cancelled classes will be refunded in full.

A: The Arbor will be following the most up-to-date local, state, and CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety and precautions. Please see our COVID-19 plan here.*

*Please note that this guidance may be subject to change during the FALL 2022 or SPRING 2023 session should updates be provided from local and state guidance, or requirements change for the charters for whom we are a vendor.

Q: Can students in kindergarten take 1st grade level classes?

A: No. We require that all students be both 6 years old and in 1st grade to take classes at The Arbor.

Q: What is the process if a younger student wants to take classes with older students?

A: Please review the class description and prerequisites to make sure that your child is ready for class with older students.  He or she will need to have teacher and/or office permission to take out-of-grade-level classes.  Please reach out to us at , and share why you believe the class would be a good fit for your child. A writing sample, math pre-test, etc., may be required.
